Biography
The F.U.'s, a hardcore punk band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1981. The original lineup consisted of John Sox on bass and lead vocals, Bob Furapples on drums, and Steve Grimes on guitar. Their initial recordings included a four-song demo that gained airplay on local college radio stations. In 1982, Wayne Maestri joined as bassist, and the band released their debut album Kill for Christ on Xclaim Records. The following year saw the release of My America, which sparked controversy due to its patriotic lyrics and artwork. Their final album under this name, Do We Really Want to Hurt You?, was released in 1984. In 1986, the band changed their name to Straw Dogs and shifted towards a heavier rock sound, releasing several albums before disbanding. The F.U.'s reformed in 2010 and have since continued to perform extensively, including tours across Europe and the United States.
