Kabát, a Czech rock band from Teplice, was formed in 1983 by Milan Å palek (vocals, harmonica) and Tomáš Krulich (guitar). Their first studio album, Má jà motorovou, released in 1991, won their first AndÄl Award for Discovery of the Year. In 1994, their third record, Colorado, was certified Gold and Platinum within weeks. Kabát represented the Czech Republic at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki, Finland in 2007. They have won multiple AndÄl Awards and Äeský slavÃk awards, including twelve Äeský slavÃk awards between 2003 and 2017. The band was inducted into the Beatová sÃÅ slávy in 2014. Most known albums include Corrida (2006), Banditi di Praga (2010), Do Pekla / Do Nebe (2015), and El Presidento (2022).
