Biography
The Bruisers, a street punk and oi! band from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, formed in 1988. The group initially included Al Barr on vocals, Jeff Morris on guitar, Scotty Davies on bass, and Rodger Shosa on drums. Their first release was the EP Intimidation, published by Patriot Records in 1989. This EP gained traction in the British oi! scene and sold out its limited run of 1,000 copies. Notable singles include "Intimidation" (1989) and "American Night" (1992). The Bruisers released the studio album, Cruisin' for a Bruisin', in 1993 on Primitive Records, which was later acquired by Lost and Found Records, followed by Up in Flames (1996). Al Barr left the group in 1998, marking its disbandment. The Bruisers reunited for special performances in 2005 and 2012.
