The Brock McGuire Band, an Irish folk group based in County Clare, was formed in 2001 and featured frontmen Paul Brock on button accordion and melodeon, and Manus McGuire on fiddle. The band's initial steps included the release of their self-titled debut album Brock McGuire Band in 2004. In 2006, they released Humdinger, which won 'Irish Music Album Of The Year' by Irish Times. Their breakthrough moment came with the collaboration on Green Grass Blue Grass (2011), an exploration of the connection between Irish traditional music and American bluegrass and Appalachian music. This album featured collaborations with Nashville musicians, including 14-time Grammy winner Ricky Skaggs, and was launched at the Grand Ole Opry in 2011. The Brock McGuire Band performed at notable venues such as the Cleveland Irish Festival, Celtic Colours, and the National Concert Hall in Bogota.
