Biography

The Atlas Moth, an American post-metal band from Chicago, Illinois, was formed in 2007. Known for their "adventurous heavy metal" sound, the group's early releases included the EP Pray For Tides and the single "Hope for Atlantis / Pray for Tides" in 2008. Their debut album, A Glorified Piece Of Blue-Sky, was released on Candlelight Records in 2009. The Atlas Moth continued with An Ache For The Distance in 2011 and the compilation Master Of Blunt Hits in 2013. Their subsequent album, The Old Believer, was released in 2014.
