Biography

The Abrams, a Canadian country band composed of John Abrams and James Abrams, hail from Kingston, Ontario. The brothers began performing together in their early teens, with John on vocals and guitar, and James on vocals and violin. Their breakthrough came in 2005 when they were named Emerging Artist of the Year at the Canadian Bluegrass Music Awards. In 2006, they became the youngest Canadian duo to play the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville. The Abrams released their debut album Carrying On in 2004, followed by Iron Sharpens Iron in 2006 and a tribute album to Bob Dylan and Arlo Guthrie, Blue on Brown, in 2008. The band's first album of original material, Northern Redemption, came out in 2011. In 2016, they released their major label debut EP via Warner Music Canada, which included the single "Fine".
