Biography

Casey Patricia Desmond, born on June 25, 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts, is an American singer-songwriter and musician. Raised by parents Bill and Katherine Desmond, founders of Bentmen and the Sound Museum Music Complex, she began her musical journey at a young age. Her debut album Casey Desmond was released in 2005. In 2011, Desmond gained national attention as a contestant on NBC's The Voice, where she performed "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga during blind auditions and was coached by Adam Levine of Maroon 5. She was eliminated from the show on May 31, 2011 after competing head to head with Jeff Jenkins. Following her appearance on The Voice, Desmond released No Disguise (2007), Chilly Allston (2008), and Déjà Vu (2012).
