Taneli Mäkelä, born on March 10, 1959, in Espoo, Finland, is a Finnish actor, singer, and writer. Mäkelä graduated from the Theatre Academy in 1985 and began his music career with the release of his first studio album Askelees kuulu ei (1988). His other albums include Tulenliekki (1990) and Taneli Mäkelä (1992). Mäkelä has also performed as a tango singer and participated in the 1991 Autumn Song competition, where he came in third. In addition to his musical endeavors, Mäkelä has had an extensive acting career, appearing in over seventy films since 1985.
