Biography
Talisk, a Scottish folk band formed in 2014, consists of Mohsen Amini on concertina, Benedict Morris on fiddle, and Craig Irving on guitar. The group gained significant recognition after winning the 2015 BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award. Their debut EP, Pinnacle 67, was released in July 2015, followed by their first full-length album, Abyss, in August 2016. In 2017, Talisk received the "Folk Band of the Year" award at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards. Their second album, Beyond, was released in October 2018, and they were awarded the Belhaven Bursary for Innovation in Scottish Music that same year. The band's third studio album, Dawn, was released in February 2022.
