Biography
Argine, a Neapolitan post-punk/neofolk band formed in 1992, initially consisted of Corrado Videtta and Marco Consorte. The group's early work included collaborations with various artists such as Alfredo Notarloberti and Giuseppe Episcopo. Their debut release was the single "Marisa Allasio" in 1998. In 2000, they released their album Roma. Throughout the years, Argine saw several lineup changes and stylistic shifts from post-punk to neofolk. Notable albums include Luctamina In Rebus (2001), Le Luci Di Hessdalen (2004), and Umori D'Autunno (2010). The band collaborated with musicians like Lucia Vitrone, Elena Previdi, and Cristiano Santini. After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Argine resumed activities in 2022 with a new lineup including Cristina Patturelli, Carlo Landolfi, and Giuseppe Bellotta.
