Symbol Six, an American rock and roll band, was formed in Santa Monica, California, United States, in 1980 by Eric Leach, Phil George, Mark Conway, Donny Brook, Taz Rudd, and Steve Cooper. The group's average age at formation was 15 years old. In December 1981, Robbie Fields of Posh Boy Records booked Symbol Six to record their self-titled debut EP Symbol Six, which debuted on KROQ-FM's Rodney Bingenheimer show in April 1982 and was named a top pick in Billboard Magazine that year. The band broke up shortly after the album's release but reformed in 2010 with all original members, releasing their self-produced debut LP Monsters 11 on Symbol Six Music. The band has played with acts including Social Distortion, Bad Religion, and T.S.O.L., and has been featured in documentaries such as The Slog Movie.
