Biography

Graveyard Johnnys, a Welsh rockabilly group from Chepstow, was formed in 2008 by Tom Lord and Joe Grogan. The band's initial breakthrough came with their self-produced single Streetblocks and City Lights (EP), which gained airplay on the BBC Radio 1 Punk Show, leading to sold-out pressings. Following this success, Graveyard Johnnys continued touring extensively, which caused the turnover of two full-time guitarists, after which they often used rotating guitarists for live shows. In 2011, after their tour bus broke down during a European tour, Tom and Joe decided to pause touring and focus on recording their debut album Songs from Better Days, released in 2011. Their subsequent album, Dead Transmission!, was released in 2015.
