Biography

Straight Line Stitch, an American metalcore band from Knoxville, Tennessee, was formed in 2000. The band initially released an EP and a demo album before recruiting vocalist Alexis Brown in 2003. Brown's addition significantly impacted the band's trajectory, leading to their breakthrough with the album To Be Godlike (2006), which was followed by the single "Remission" (2007). Directed by Dale Resteghini of Raging Nation Films, the music video for "Remission" gained attention and led to Straight Line Stitch signing with Raging Nation Records, a Koch Records subsidiary. Their first release under this label was When Skies Wash Ashore (2008). The band achieved notable chart success with their 2011 album The Fight of Our Lives, which reached number 5 on the Billboard Heatseekers and number 34 on the Top Independent Albums charts.
