Biography

A talented Christian-focussed singer and songwriter from McDonough, Georgia, Stephen Stanley (born 12 February 1996) began playing piano and drums at an early age. As the son of a pastor, he was immersed in the music of his local church and went on to lead worship before setting his sights on the contemporary Christian music scene. He emerged with his first major-label single, “No Hopeless Soul," released via Capitol CMG in 2021, amassing a further run of singles that included a heartfelt cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" in 2021, the "Note to Self" and "I'll Carry You" singles in 2022 and "Rest in the Father," a collaboration with Jonathan Traylor. 2023 also saw the release of his debut album Divided Frame of Mind and the new single "Whatever It Takes."
