Biography

Stephan Runge, born in 1962 in Düsseldorf, Germany, is an actor, musician, and visual artist. He grew up in Meerbusch near Düsseldorf as the son of visual artist Holger Runge. After completing his acting training at the Schauspielschule Bochum from 1984 to 1987, Runge moved to Cologne, where he began working on various theater productions. In the early 1990s, he started his solo career as a singer and musician, releasing seven albums, including Der Himmel War Rot (1994). Notable songs include "Der geilste Arsch der Welt", co-written with Claus Vinçon, which became an LGBT anthem in Cologne. Runge also organized the Röschen Sitzung, an alternative carnival event in Cologne. He gained broader recognition through numerous television appearances and radio engagements. In addition to his music career, Runge has worked as a voice actor for radio and advertising.
