Biography
Steed Lord was an electronic house trio from ReykjavÃk, Iceland, formed in 2006 by Svala Björgvinsdóttir, Mega, and Demo. Before Steed Lord, Svala released her solo album The Real Me in 2001. The band's first song, "You", was created from a house beat given to Svala as a birthday gift. They followed up with "Dirty Mutha" and began touring extensively across Europe and North America. In 2008, Steed Lord released their debut album Truth Serum. Despite a near-fatal car accident in April 2008 that injured all members, the band resumed touring by July of the same year. They moved to Los Angeles in 2009 but later returned to Iceland and took a break to focus on individual projects. The trio never officially disbanded, though their last album as of 2012 was The Prophecy pt. 1.
