Biography

Stampin' Ground was a British metalcore band formed in 1995 in Cheltenham, England. The group initially released two demos and saw early lineup changes with Paul Catten leaving to focus on Medulla Nocte. In 1997, they released their first album, Demons Run Amok, under We Bite Records. After a series of lineup shifts, including the addition of Adam Frakes-Sime as lead vocalist in 1998, Stampin' Ground signed with Century Media and released An Expression Of Repressed Violence (1998). The band toured extensively, notably opening for Cause for Alarm and Madball, and released subsequent albums Carved from Empty Words (2000) and A New Darkness Upon Us (2003). They performed at major festivals such as With Full Force, Download Festival, and Furyfest. Stampin' Ground disbanded in 2006 but reformed in 2014 with original members Scott Atkins, Adam Frakes-Sime, Neil Hutton, Ben Frost, and new member Paul Fletcher. In 2026, the band performed at Bloodstock and Download Festivals.
