Biography
Stabil Elite, a German electro-pop band from Düsseldorf, was founded in 2007 by Lucas Croon, Nikolai Szymanski, and Martin Sonnensberger. The group's name is derived from the science-fiction film Das Millionenspiel (1970). In 2011, Stabil Elite released their first EP, Gold. Their debut album, Douze Pouze, was released in 2012 and received critical acclaim, being named "Album of the Month" by Musikexpress. The band's success led to international tours, including performances in Israel, Palestine, Mexico, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines, and at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, in March 2016. Bassist Timo Hein joined as a live support member in 2012 and became an official band member in 2016. Their second studio album, Spumante, was released digitally and on CD/LP in 2016.
