Sophie Francis, born Sophie Bongers on December 2, 1998, in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, is a Dutch record producer, DJ, and musician. She began playing piano at age nine and started taking DJ lessons at fourteen, inspired by a school project. In the summer of 2015, Sophie signed with Always Management under the stage name Sophie's Choice but changed it to Sophie Francis in October 2015 due to a trademark conflict. She released her debut single "Drop of a Dime," on Freeway Recordings on February 29, 2016, followed by "Up in This," "Bad Boy," and "Annihilate." She performed at festivals across the Netherlands and Spain, including Paellas Universitarias in Valencia. Sophie Francis has also released music under labels including Powerhouse Music, Dirty Dutch Music, Spinnin' Records, and Smash the House.
