Biography

Alessandro Cortini is an Italian musician and composer best known for his work as Sonoio. In 2010, Cortini released Blue, the debut album under the Sonoio project, which was created entirely on Buchla modular synths. On December 23, 2010, a free nine-track digital-only remix album entitled Non Sonoio consisting of reinterpretations by Ladytron, Big Black Delt, Richard Devine, and others was released. The following year, he released Red and its remix album Non (Red). In autumn 2011, Sonoio opened for Ladytron on their Gravity the Seducer tour of North America. Cortini's third Sonoio album, Fine, was released in July 2018.
