Biography
Swedenâs Red Mecca is a dark, atmospheric electronica band. Formed by keyboardist Jan Strandqvist (formerly of Brända Barn). Joined by frontwoman Frida Madeleine, the duo released You Were Never Here, their debut album, in 2013. A year later, they issued their sophomore album Covered with Rain. Electricity, their third album, was released in 2016. I See Darkness in You, released in 2018, was their final album with Frida Madeleine. Susanne Jonsson stepped in as vocalist and the duo released their fifth album, Truth, in 2019.
