Biography

Solitary Experiments, a German futurepop band from Frankfurt am Main, was formed in 1994 by Michael Thielemann and Dennis Schober. The duo began experimenting under the name Plague before transitioning to Solitary Experiments. Their first demo tape, Risque De Choc Electrique, was released in 1996, featuring vocalist Dana Apitz. In 1998, after releasing their second demo tape, Death in Small Doses, and Apitz’s departure, Steve Graeber joined on keyboards. Solitary Experiments signed with Maschinenwelt Records in 1999, releasing their debut album Final Approach. The group continued to produce albums, including Paradox (2000), Advance Into Unknown (2003), and Mind Over Matter (2005). Notable chart successes include Future Tense (2018), which reached number 28 on the German charts, and Transcendent (2022), which peaked at number 35.
