Biography

Soft Circle is an American experimental rock project from Brooklyn, New York, established in 2006 by musician Hisham Bharoocha. Bharoocha released the debut album Full Bloom on 23 January 2007, through Eastern Developments Music. The recording is characterised by looped guitar riffs, drums, and repeated vocals. In 2009, Ben Vida, formerly of the group Town & Country, joined Soft Circle. The duo collaborated with High Places for a split 12-inch release on PPM Records in 2009. Soft Circle released the album Shore Obsessed on 6 November 2010, also through PPM Records. In 2010, the project contributed the track “End of Summer” to the Geographic North Records compilation album You Can't Hide Your Love Forever Vol. 6. Bharoocha maintained a presence on social media as Soft Circle as of 2018.
