Biography

So Many Dynamos, an American rock band from St. Louis, Missouri, formed in 2002 and disbanded in 2023. Their debut EP ¿Are We Not Drawn Onward to New Era? was released by Ambivalent Records in June 2003, followed by their first full-length album When I Explode in June 2004. The band's lineup included Aaron Stovall on vocals and keyboard, Clayton "Norm" Kunstel on drums, and various guitarists such as Ryan Ballew, Griffin Kay, and Nathan Bernaix. So Many Dynamos released several albums, including Flashlights in June 2006, The Loud Wars in June 2009, and their final album Safe With Sound in November 2015. The band toured extensively and released a digital-only EP in June 2012. Their final single "Consider the Past" was released on August 9, 2023, followed by their last performance at Delmar Hall in St. Louis on August 12, 2023.
