Biography
Damaged, an Australian deathgrind band from Ballarat, Victoria, was formed in 1989 by drummer Matt "Skitz" Sanders. Their first demo, The Art of Destroying Life, appeared in 1992, followed by their debut album, Do Not Spit, released on Black Hole Records in 1993. In 1994, Damaged toured with Cannibal Corpse. The band faced internal tensions and lineup changes throughout the years. They reformed under US label Rotten Records, releasing Token Remedies Research in 1997 and performing at the Metal for the Brain festival. In 2000, they released Purified in Pain. Damaged went into hiatus after a national tour and later returned with Dave Saddington on vocals for a short period before disbanding in January 2004 due to Sanders' health condition.
