Biography

Slowmotion Apocalypse is an Italian melodic death metal band from the Province of Pordenone, formed in 2002 from the merger of two metalcore-influenced groups, Slapsticks and Todiefor. The band released their debut album My Own Private Armageddon in 2005 via Tribunal Records, which was re-released in 2006 by Scarlet Records with bonus tracks. Their second album, Obsidian (2007), was released through Scarlet Records and featured guest contributions from Gianluca Perotti, Claudio Ravinale, and Tomas Lindberg of At the Gates. In 2009, they released their third album Mothra, recorded at Planet Red Studios in Richmond, Virginia and mastered by A. Douches, featuring guest appearances from Mike Terry of Bury Your Dead and Matthew Rudzinski of Killwhitneydead. Following this period, guitarist Nicolas Milanese experienced health issues that led to the band's prolonged hiatus.
