Biography

Born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1990, Sivan Arbel is a critically acclaimed jazz vocalist, composer, and arranger. She studied voice and dance at Yad Harif Art Center in Israel before attending the Rimon School of Music in Ramat Hasharon, Israel, where she majored in jazz performance. She relocated to Dublin, Ireland while studying at the Newpark Music School Center between 2013 and 2014. She was selected by the school to partake in the 24th Annual International Association of Schools of Jazz in South Africa. This led to her appearing at festivals around the world including the Montreal Jazz Festival in 2016. Sivan Arbel released Broken Lines, her debut album, in 2016. Her second album, Change of Light, was released in 2019. The album was a critical and commercial success and received many awards including Best Vocal Disc of 2019 (Jazz2K0) and Top Vocal Album (41st Annual Jazz Station Awards).
