Biography

Dalia Faitelson, born on December 14, 1966 in Israel, is a vocalist and composer based in Denmark. She studied at the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem and Berklee College of Music in Boston. Faitelson's debut album Common Ground (1994) was released on Storyville Records. Her subsequent albums include Diamond of the Day (1999), for which she received the Danish equivalent of a Grammy Award for Jazz in 2000, and Powered by Life (2018). Faitelson has collaborated with notable musicians such as Randy Brecker, Jerry Bergonzi, and Marilyn Mazur. She was named Composer of the Year by the Danish Composer Association in 2005 and nominated for Best Jazz Vocal Album at the Danish Music Awards in 2014.
