Biography
Sinister are a death metal band from the Netherlands, founded in 1989. At the beginning of the 1990s, the band released several demos. cross the Styx, the band's debut album, followed in 1992. Both this and the following two albums, Diabolical Summoning (1993) and Hate (1995), gave the rockers a firm place in the death metal scene. In 2001, Rachel Heyzer briefly took over the vocals for Sinister, which is rather unusual for a death metal band with the typical growling vocal style. Sinister released new albums at regular intervals. After more than 30 years in the metal scene, the Dutch rockers are still releasing albums, including Deformation of the Holy Realm in 2020.
