Shinyribs, a 9-piece musical group from Austin, Texas, was formed in 2007 as a solo side project of Kevin Russell. Initially known for his work with The Gourds, Russell began performing under the name "Shinyribs" during solo shows before transitioning it into a full band featuring musicians like Keith Langford. Their debut album Well After Awhile was released in 2010. Shinyribs' sound blends country-soul and swamp-funk, with Kevin Russell's vision guiding the musical direction.
