Ryan Aitchison, known professionally as Mella Dee, is an English DJ and record producer from the United Kingdom. Born on an unspecified date, Aitchison began his music career with the release of his first EP Don't Be Nesh in May 2012. He followed this with another EP, Things Don't Change, in November 2013. His breakthrough came with the single "Ryan Aitchison" released in March 2018, which marked a significant step in his career. Later that year, he released his debut album Rhythm Nation Volume 1 on January 19, 2015. Mella Dee gained notable recognition for his single "Techno Disco Tool", released in March 2018, which was certified Silver by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) in 2022. He followed up with EPs Ridgewood (2020), Sidney Street (2020), Connected Experiences (2023), Strictly Ruffneck (2024), and Steady Movin' (2025). In 2025, Mella Dee began the UK Minimal series with UK Minimal Vol. 1, followed by UK Minimal Vol. 2: The Moody Tech Chronicles.
