Sekou Sylla, known mononymously as Sekou, is a British singer and songwriter from Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire. Born on 18 September 2004, he rose to prominence as a teenager by sharing soulful, heartfelt performances on platforms like TikTok and SoundCloud. At just 16, he signed with Good Soldier Records, quickly gaining attention with his debut single âBetter Manâ, which was featured on the popular TV show Love Island and introduced him to a wider audience. In June 2023, Sekou released his debut EP Out of Mind, blending classic soul influences with contemporary R&B sounds.
