Sebastian Gahler, born in 1978, in Germany, is a jazz pianist and composer. He started with private lessons from jazz pianist Buddy Casino in Düsseldorf and studied at the Arnhem Academy of Arts and the Cologne University of Music and Dance. In 2003, Gahler formed the Sebastian Gahler Trio with bassist Nico Brandenburg and drummer René Marx, releasing their debut album Meditation in 2009 on Double Moon Records. The trio's subsequent albums include Trust (2012) and Down the Street (2016). Gahler also co-founded IndigoJazzlounge with singer Anikó Kanthak, releasing three albums including IndigoJazzlounge (2008) and New Bar Standards Volume 2 (2019). In 2022, he released the concept album Two Moons, inspired by Haruki Murakami's work, and founded his own label Jazz Kitchen Records in 2024, on which he released Electric Stories (2024).
