Biography
Schönherz & Fleer is a German musician and producer duo consisting of Richard Schönherz and Angelica Fleer. Richard Schönherz was born on June 17, 1947 in Vienna and is a composer and producer. Angelica Fleer, born on March 12, 1966 in Frankfurt am Main, is also a composer and producer. The duo works musically in the field of poetry music, a combination of poems set to music and specially composed music. Their collaboration began in 1997 when they jointly initiated the Rilke Project, in which they set poems by Rainer Maria Rilke to music and had them interpreted by renowned artists. The first album Bis an alle Sterne was released in 2001 and achieved gold status. This is followed by further albums such as In meinem wilden Herzen (2004), ÃberflieÃende Himmel (2008) and Weltenweiter Wandrer (2010), several of which also achieve gold status. In 2021, they release the album Das ist die Sehnsucht, which again sets poems by Rilke to music. 2024 sees the release of Poesie Projekt - Was ist Liebe, in which they set poems by various poets on the subject of love to music. Schönherz & Fleer receive several gold records for their Rilke Project albums.
