Biography
British singer and actress Sandy Stevens (née Stevenson) recorded three singles in the early 1980s, and three years later appeared alongside Michel Galabru and Luis Rego in Michel Nerval's comedy Sandy, from which the single of the same name was taken. After two further attempts in English, Sandy gained notoriety thanks to a yoghurt commercial, leading to her greatest success with the Top 50 hit "J'ai faim de toi" (1988), taken from the album Histoires d'Amour. A conflict with producer Claude Carrère, who released the album Lies in the same period, stymied her career, despite a succession of hits such as "Comme je respire" and the charity singles "Les Enfants sans Noël " and "Liban", released around the same time.
