Biography

Stéphanie Marie Elisabeth Grimaldi, more commonly known as Stéphanie of Monaco, was born in the princely city on February 1, 1965. She is the daughter of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace, née Grace Kelly. After brief literary studies, Stéphanie de Monaco created a swimwear brand and a perfume. It was almost by chance that in 1986 she recorded the song "Ouragan", which composer Romano Musumarra had previously suggested to Jeanne Mas. Already a princess, Stéphanie de Monaco became a star with this song, which reached number one in the Top 50. The success of the following track "Flash " and the album Besoin continued unabated. In 1991, the album Stéphanie , sung in English, was less successful. A friend of Michael Jackson, Stéphanie de Monaco appeared in 1992 on the introduction to the song "In the Closet", where she was credited under the pseudonym Mystery Girl. Increasingly occupied by her official duties, Stéphanie de Monaco gave up singing, except in 2006, when she took part in the Fight AIDS collective for the song "L'Or de nos vies", with Jenifer, Jane Birkin, Lââm and Alizée.
