Sinnflut, a German musical project founded in 1998 by Magnus Bartsch and Manuel Bartsch in Leipzig, is known for its neoclassical electronic music with rock influences. The group's name translates to "Flut der Sinne," meaning "Flood of the Senses." Sinnflut initially released three albums under Ontogenesis Publishing: Band 1 - Vergessene Melodien (2000), Band 2 - Wortlosigkeit (2001), and Band 3 - Das Vermächtnis (2001). The project was often compared to bands like Lacrimosa and Das Ich. In 2003, Sinnflut released a double album, Gefüge, Teil 1 and Gefüge, Teil 2, through Icare Media Distribution. Their sixth studio album, Epik (2008), marked their first collaboration with guest musicians, including Michael Krahn on guitar and Natalie Pereira Dos Santos of The Blue Season. In 2021, Sinnflut released their concept album Schnee under Danse Macabre, collaborating with the vocal duo Klanggedanken.
