Biography

Sanalejo is a Colombian pop-rock band formed in Bogotá in 2001 by members originally from Manizales, including Sebastián Yepes and Jerónimo Salazar. Initially performing as El Reblujo, they transitioned to Sanalejo and released their self-titled debut album in 2003. Their second work, Alma y locura (2005), featured the hit "El diablo," blending Latin rhythms with rock. In 2007, they released No lo hagas, which included the chart-topping single "Mejor que tú no hay nada." Though the group entered a period of inactivity in 2008 following Yepes' departure for a solo career, they later reunited with new vocalist Sebastián Gómez, releasing the album Seguir latiendo in 2016. The band’s contribution to the "tropipop" movement earned them a Grammy nomination, solidifying their legacy in Latin music.
