69 Nombres is a Colombian rock group formed in Barranquilla in the late 1990s by José Carlos MarÃa (Iusef), Hans BolÃvar, Orlando Donado, and Oliver Camargo; the band later relocated to Bogotá. The groupâs early sound combined grunge influences with a later shift toward Beatlesâstyle popârock, and they debuted at the 2000 edition of Rock al Parque after recording the independent album Alba (2003). In 2009 the EP Tiempo was released under the production of Phil Vinall, and the single "Encuentro" followed in 2017, coinciding with the selfâreleased LP 69 Nombres. The track "Tiéntame" was issued as a single in 2018. The band performed at major festivals such as South By Southwest in Austin (2011) and shared stages with Mexican acts Molotov and Café Tacvba.
