Biography

69 Nombres is a Colombian rock group formed in Barranquilla in the late 1990s by José Carlos María (Iusef), Hans Bolívar, Orlando Donado, and Oliver Camargo; the band later relocated to Bogotá. The group’s early sound combined grunge influences with a later shift toward Beatles‑style pop‑rock, and they debuted at the 2000 edition of Rock al Parque after recording the independent album Alba (2003). In 2009 the EP Tiempo was released under the production of Phil Vinall, and the single "Encuentro" followed in 2017, coinciding with the self‑released LP 69 Nombres. The track "Tiéntame" was issued as a single in 2018. The band performed at major festivals such as South By Southwest in Austin (2011) and shared stages with Mexican acts Molotov and Café Tacvba.
