Biography

Compañía Ilimitada, a Colombian pop rock group, began as a meeting of school friends that evolved into a duo consisting of Juan Pulido "Juancho" and Camilo Jaramillo "Piyo". They gained initial traction through local competitions and debuted on La Telediscoteca in 1978. In 1986, they performed at Corferias in Bogotá, opening for Soda Stereo. The following year, they achieved success with their album Contacto, produced by Andrew Loog Oldham. In 1989, the band released Estado inmóvil. They were invited to the Primer Festival Iberoamericano de Rock in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1990. In 1993, they released Crónica bajo el sol, which included a cover of "Cómo decirte" by Cat Stevens, reaching number 20 on MTV Latino. After a hiatus, they returned in 2002 with Años en HIFI, followed by Circunvalar in 2005.
