Biography
A musician originally from Detroit, Michigan, and now based in Los Angeles, Sam Austins produces cross-disciplinary music, navigating between alternative pop, R&B, electronica, rock and rap. A model and stylist, in 2017 he unveiled his first single, "Fiji", featuring producer duo Take a Daytrip, which garnered millions of views and listens on platforms. Subsequent tracks reveal his eclecticism in an alternative style, such as "Last Money" and "Wings " in 2020 or "Kilos" and "Joy for Youth" with Sir Chloe in 2021, before the release of his first mixtape Homeless Star (2021). Appearing at the Lollapalooza festival in 2022 and on tour with Dora Jar, he released the Boy Toy EP in 2023, with tracks tending towards rock. In 2024, the electro-glitch track "Seasons" enters the UK dance charts (#28) and the official Irish chart (#88).
