Biography
Sadist, an Italian progressive death metal band, was formed in Genoa in 1991 by Tommy Talamanca and Marco Pesenti. Their debut EP Black Screams was released in 1991 through Obscure Plasma Records. The first full-length album, Above the Light, followed in 1993 under Nosferatu Records. After several lineup changes, Sadist released their second album, Tribe, in 1995. Following the release of Crust (1997) and Lego (2000), the band split until reforming in 2005. They released their self-titled album in 2007, followed by Season in Silence (2010), Hyaena (2015), and Firescorched (2022). Notable collaborations include Claudio Simonetti from Goblin on the title track of their self-titled album.
