Biography

Ryszard Rynkowski, born on October 9, 1951, in Elbląg, Poland, is a Polish singer and actor. He learned piano from an organist at his local parish and later studied in Olsztyn. His debut came in 1972 with the group El during the 5th Cultural Festival of Students in Olsztyn. In the late 1970s, Rynkowski joined the Polish band Vox as a singer, contributing to their albums like Vox and VOX 2. He left Vox in 1987 to pursue a solo career, releasing notable albums such as Szczęśliwej drogi, już czas (1991) and Jawa (1997). Rynkowski won the Fryderyk Award for Singer of the Year in 2001 and the Polish Medal of Cultural Merit Gloria Artis Silver Medal in 2015.
