Biography
Roosevelt is the pseudonym of Marius Lauber, a composer and producer from Cologne. In 2012, he signed "Sea", a nu-disco-tinged debut on the Greco-Roman label (promoter of the Berlin-London Party collective and supporter of Hot Chip's Joe Goddard). The following year, he followed this up with the bouncy synth-pop track "Elliot", which owes as much to the melancholy of a New Order as to the groovy dynamics of a Disclosure. In 2016, Roosevelt produced an album that drew subtle parallels between indie-pop and chic house, undoubtedly an expression of the ties that unite Cologne's electronica with the spirit of British Northern Soul.
