Biography

Roberto Soffici, born on October 29, 1946, is an Italian singer-songwriter. He enrolled at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, graduating in clarinet, harmony, and composition. In the 1970s, Soffici began his career as a composer, writing songs for notable Italian artists such as Mina, Equipe 84, and Nomadi. His breakthrough as a performer came in the second half of the 1970s with the album In Queste Ore Chiare. During the decade, he released several albums including All’Improvviso L’incoscienza (1977) and Il Canto Dello Scorpione (1978). His song, “Io Ti Voglio Tanto Bene” (1980), was one of the best-selling singles in Italy that year. Other later releases include the album Roberto Soffici (1986).
