Biography

Richard Jonathan Fleeshman was born on 8 June 1989 in Manchester, England, and began his career as a child actor before turning to music. His first public musical exposure came in 2003 when he won Stars in Their Eyes, and in 2006 he won Soapstar Superstar, raising £200,000 for the Kirsty Appeal. In 2007, he signed a major deal with Universal and released his debut studio album Neon on 26 November, supported by the single "Coming Down" issued 19 November that same year. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at Number 45, marking his entry into commercial music. After touring with Elton John in 2008, Richard Jonathan Fleeshman continued to perform in musical theatre, including roles in Legally Blonde (2010) and Ghost (2011–2012). In 2020 he released a self‑released EP, and in 2023 he joined the cast of the Syfy series The Ark. His career has been noted for his crossover between acting and singing, with appearances on television and stage, and for his contributions to the pop and MOR genres.
