Biography

Antonio Rosario Monopoly, known as Tony Monopoly, was born on December 3, 1944, in Adelaide, Australia. He began his career as a singer at nine years old, appearing on the Australian radio show Kangaroos on Parade. In 1975, Monopoly auditioned for the British talent show Opportunity Knocks and released his debut self-titled album in 1976. The following year, he participated in a national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with "Leave A Little Love", securing ninth place. His subsequent albums included After The Lovin' (1977) and The Game Of Life (1980). Monopoly later performed on cruise ships and in various theater productions, including Cinderella and a British tour of Cats. Tony Monopoly passed away on March 21, 1995.
