Richard Bone, born February 3, 1952, in Atlanta, Georgia, is an American electronic musician. He began his career creating soundtracks for experimental theater and released his first single "Pirate the Islands/Headlines Have It" with his band Bone in 1979. In 1981, he joined the new-wave band Shox Lumania and recorded a solo 7" entitled "Digital Days/Alien Girl." He was signed to Survival Records in the UK, where he released several LPs, EPs, singles, and contributed to compilation albums. His 1983 single "Joy of Radiation" reached Number 1 on the Hong Kong Dance Chart. In 1991, Bone started his own label Quirkworks Laboratory Discs. Notable releases include The Reality Temples (2004), which was nominated for the New Age Reporter Lifestyle Music Awards' Best Electronic Album, and Infinite Plastic Creation (2007), which won the same award.
