Reptar, an American band from Athens, Georgia, was formed in 2008 by vocalist Graham Ulicny, bassist Ryan Engelberger, keyboardist William Kennedy, and drummer Andrew McFarland. The group quickly became a staple of the local house-party scene and began touring extensively. Their debut extended play, Oblangle Fizz Y'all, was released in 2011 through Vagrant Records and Make Records Not Bombs. The band's first studio album, Body Faucet, produced by Ben H. Allen, was released in 2012 and reached number 7 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Notable singles from this period include "Stuck In My Id" (2012), "Sebastian" (2012), and "Cable" (2015). The band's second studio album, Lurid Glow, was released in 2015 through Joyful Noise Recordings. Following this release, the band members pursued various side projects, and Reptar largely remained inactive, regrouping occasionally for one-off concerts.
