Biography

Originally purely instrumental, the English band Red Snapper was part of the acid jazz nebula in the late Nineties. Blending electronics and acoustics, the trio also dabbled in trip-hop and drum & bass. Their first album, Prince Blimey, released in 1996, enjoyed a good reputation. Their follow-up, Making Bones (1998), was another success. The band then suffered from the decline of acid jazz and released Our Aim Is to Satisfy in 2000, before retiring in 2002. Returning in 2007, Red Snapper released Pale Blue Dot in 2008, followed by Key in 2011.
